MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS ACT 1950
(MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AMENDMENT ACT 2006)
RE-REGISTRATION
Under the Medical Practitioners Amendment Act, 2006, Registered Medical Practitioners are required to renew their registration on a biennial basis. This legislative registration requirement has been in effect since 1st June 2007. In this regard the 2012-2014 Registration Renewal Cycle is due to commence on 21st March 2012.
1) The fee for re-registration is BD$70.00.
2) The deadline for receipt of applications is 3rd May 2012. Applications received after the deadline will be subject to a fee increase following changes to Government fees.
3) Application forms can be obtained online through the Department of Health’s website on the Administration and Licences page, in person from the Receptionist Desk at the Ministry of Health, Continental Building, 25 Church Street, Hamilton HM 12, or by request via telephone at (441) 278-4900 or (441) 278-4921.
