WHEREAS the Minister responsible for Conservation Services (“the Minister”) deems it expedient that the species of plants and animals set out in the Schedule are classified as critically endangered, endangered or vulnerable in accordance with the criteria set out in the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN) and declared protected species in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(3) of the Protected Species Act 2003;
AND WHEREAS the Minister has examined the best scientific information available on the species of plants and animals set out in the Schedule in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Protected Species Act 2003;
AND WHEREAS the Minister deems it expedient to make an Order declaring the requisite level of protection to the species of plants and animals set out in the Schedule in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5A of the Protected Species Act 2003;
