The Information Technology Office (ITO) is responsible for developing and maintaining the Information Technology infrastructure of the Government of Bermuda.  ITO is seeking an experienced individual to fill the post of Service Analyst.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Service Supervisor and in accordance with established policies, procedures, operational standards and guidelines.  The Service Analyst records user incident and service requests, and provides triage with the correct assessment and assignment of tickets to the appropriate resources.
The post holder will be responsible for:-
Recording, triaging and assigning service tickets in compliance with established guidelines and service targets. Providing assistance or referring requests to other professionals for additional assistance and maintaining accurate records of user requests, contact details and outcome.
Monitoring, escalating and closing tickets to assist with Service Level Agreements assurance and making enquiries on the status of changes using the change database, where appropriate.
Associated duties as requested by the Service Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have:-
Proficiency in operational/service architecture, metrics collection and analysis, Government and ITO products and services and customer service techniques.
Familiarity with IT audits, application systems, development tools, methods, techniques and standards, information modeling tools, networking and communications, operating systems, desktop software, local/international corporate, industry and professional IT standards, and effective report writing techniques.
Awareness of programming languages, information capture techniques, document management techniques, and progress reporting.
The post holder must possess an Associate's degree in Information Technology, together with one of the following or a recognized equivalent:
CCS:  Certified Customer Support Specialist - Service Desk Institute Experience 
Foundation in IT Service Management - Information Systems Examination Board
MCP: Microsoft Certified Professional 
Service Desk Senior Analyst - Service Desk Institute Experience.

The Department of Tourism wishes to recruit a qualified and experienced individual with strong sales and management skills to fill the post of Marketing Manager, within the Department’s New York Office. 
Under the direction of the Director of Global Operations, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day–to–day operations of the Marketing Section of the New York Office as well as our overseas marketing representatives.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant management related field, such as Sales, Marketing, Communications or Hospitality Management. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a business development, or sales or marketing capacity is required. 
This post demands a hands-on individual with a high level of self motivation. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, proven negotiation abilities, and a broad understanding of distribution trends internationally: B2B and B2C. Experience in working in an international environment within a travel related industry is preferred. A moderate amount of travel is expected. The successful applicant must be willing to work outside of normal working hours as required to meet business demands. 
Final confirmation in this post will be conditional upon the applicant obtaining the requisite non-immigrant visa to work in the United States.  Upon issue of a visa, the successful applicant will be expected to take up the duties in New York immediately.

Applications are invited to fill the post of Statistical Officer within the Department of Statistics. This post should appeal to persons primarily interested in working in the collection, compilation, production and analysis of Economic Statistics.
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Assistant Statistician to provide technical statistical support for the execution of the Department’s on-going work programme in the areas of economic and business statistics. The postholder will also perform duties in the operational phases of surveys and censuses. 
Responsibilities of the post include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the appropriate classification of occupations, industries and education levels as set out in the 2008 Bermuda Standard Classification of Occupations Report, the ILO’s International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO88), the UN’s International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), the 1998 Bermuda Classification of Economic Activities (BCEA), and the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED).  
Assisting with the conduct of annual, quarterly or ad hoc surveys such as the Employment Survey, the e-Employment Survey, the Labour Force Household Survey, Hotel Employment Survey, Economic Activity Survey, Hotel Gross Receipt Survey, Balance of Payments, Consumer Price Survey, Retail Sales Survey, or Construction Survey, etc. 
Compiling all phases of monthly press releases in particular the retail sales index (RSI).  Collecting price and sales data within stated deadlines and according to pre-established standards for data collection; vetting and crosschecking data keyed in spreadsheets for completeness and accuracy. Writing draft analyses of assigned press releases.
Using statistical software packages such as Microsoft Excel to tabulate financial data and develop comparative statistical reports for output estimation of payroll tax data, value of construction activity, employment income, hotel gross receipts, etc.
Obtaining monthly/quarterly/annual economic, business, social and demographic data by personal visits to various government departments, businesses and households when appropriate.
Organizing and arranging statistical data, information, charts and tables for inclusion in analytical reports and executive statistical briefs; interpreting, analyzing and presenting statistical summaries in report form to disseminate information either within Government or to the general public.
The successful applicant must possess an Associate degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or a related subject. A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience is also required; however, the successful candidate if he/she does not meet the minimum work experience can be considered for an underfill opportunity. Applicants must possess good communication and organizational skills; have a keen eye for detail; ability to adhere to pre-set deadlines and be team oriented.  Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word are required.

Working under direction of the Manager, Corporate Services, in accordance with the established policies and procedures and the provisions of the relevant legislation to be responsible for providing professional, consistent, and timely human resource services and advice to the managers and staff of the Bermuda Post Office, to enable them to discharge their duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively, thereby improving overall performance.  This includes human resource planning, recruitment and selection, employee and industrial relations, staff training and development, leave administration and liaising with the Department of Human Resources to assist with implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures.  
Duties and responsibilities of this post include, but are not limited to:

assisting with the recruitment and selection of all vacant position within the organization; including positions which fall under the Bermuda Public Services and the Bermuda Industrial Union Collective Agreements;

The postholder will work with a diverse group of employees including managers, supervisors and both the Bermuda Industrial Union and Bermuda Public Services Union staff.  Other duties include submitting a regular audit of HR practices as determine by the Department of Human Resources as it relates to Government HR policies and procedures.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related discipline and have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a relevant position.  The position requires an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.  In addition to being focused on customer service, the incumbent must have the ability to work with employees at all levels of authority.  Sound organizational skills and the ability to multitask with minimal direction and supervision are desirable.  The postholder must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.  The postholder must be able to demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information.  Competency in operating in a computerized environment is required.  The postholder must be flexible, as the position may require, on occasion, working outside of the normal working hours.

be rotated throughout the Department on a regular basis to enhance knowledge, promote expertise and professional development opportunities.

possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Services or a related field, or be specifically trained in dealing with high-risk offender groups, Certification or Licensure is desired;
possess a minimum of five (5) years’ post qualification experience dealing with high risk offenders, including proven experience in facilitating offender groups and treatment programmes;
have one (1) years’ supervisory experience;
be able to respond to Orders of the Courts, Parole Board and Treatment of Offenders Board;

Pursuant to Section 17A of the Defence Act 1965 (the “Act”), any person selected for military service under the Act is required to serve in the Regiment for a period of three years and two months.
Pursuant to Section 36 of the Act, if a soldier fails to attend any parade or other military duty of any description, he has committed a military offence (Failure to perform military duties).

Pursuant to Section 17A of the Defence Act 1965 (the “Act”), any person selected for military service under the Act is required to serve in the Regiment for a period of three years and two months.
Pursuant to Section 36 of the Act, if a soldier fails to attend any parade or other military duty of any description, he has committed a military offence (Failure to perform military duties).
According to the Regiment’s records, the soldiers listed below have failed to perform their military duties as required under the Act by failing to attend for extensive and unexcused periods.  By doing so each soldier listed has committed both a military and criminal offence under the laws of Bermuda.
Several efforts have been made to contact each of the soldiers listed without success, and they are now subject to arrest without warrant as permitted under the Act.

The Minister responsible for marine and ports services, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1)(aa) and (b) of the Marine Board Act 1962 and paragraph 4 of the Marine Board (Declaration of Speed Limits for Boats) (Mariners) Notice 2001, issues the following Notice:
Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine Board (Control Over Maritime Traffic) Notice 2011.
Interpretation
2 In this Notice—
“waters of Ferry Reach” means all that area of waters of Ferry Reach from the airfield landing light pylons close to the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences thence westward along the Reach to a line extending from the north side of the Reach to Little Roque Island thence to the eastern edge of Roque Island thence south eastwards to Stone Crusher Corner at Kindley Field Park;
“power boat race” means a closed circuit power boat race.
Power boat races
3 (1) Power boat races may be held in the waters of Ferry Reach on the following dates during the hours commencing at 12:00 noon and ending at 5:00 p.m.—

September 4, 2011
September 18, 2011

October 30, 2011.
(2) In the event of inclement weather, a power boat race may be postponed and held on a date mentioned in paragraph 8.
Practice races
4 Commencing on March 13, 2011 and ending on October 30, 2011, persons participating in a power boat race may practice in the waters of Ferry Reach on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the hours commencing at 12:00 noon and ending at 6:00 p.m.
Speed limits shall not apply
5 Paragraph 3 of the Marine Board (Declaration of Speed Limits for Boats) (Mariners) Notice 2001, which provides a speed limit for persons navigating a boat within 100 metres of the shoreline of Ferry Reach, shall not apply to persons participating in a power boat race or a practice race.
Patrol of the waters of Ferry Reach during a power boat race
6 Marshall boats shall exercise control over maritime traffic near the waters of Ferry Reach during a power boat race.
Persons to exercise caution
7 The owner, pilot, or operator of a boat, or any other person, is required to exercise extreme caution when navigating the waters near Ferry Reach during a power boat race or a practice race.
Postponement of a power boat race
8 (1) Where a power boat race has been postponed the race may be held on the following dates during the hours commencing at 12:00 noon and ending at 5:00 p.m.—
