SPEARFISHING LICENCE

Effective September 1, 2011, any person who takes fish by spearfishing will require an annual Spearfishing Licence.

Applications for Spearfishing Licences will be available as of August 1, 2011 from the Licensing Office of the Department of Environmental Protection, in the Botanical Gardens, Paget 

A fee of $125.00 is required for a Spearfishing Licence when applications are tendered.

The licence will expire on August 31st of each year.

A meeting will be held on July 21, 2011 at 7pm in Botanical Gardens for interested spearfishers to discuss the proposed terms and conditions of the new licence.

Tenders are invited for the provision of island-wide blue bag recycling collection services from residences, government institutions, and schools, and the delivery of these materials to the Material Recovery Facility located at the Government Quarry. 

Full details and Tender Documents may be obtained from the Ministry of Public Works, Third Floor, Post Office Building, Hamilton, during regular business hours beginning Friday, June 24, 2011. Completed Tenders must be returned no later than 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 6th 2011. Late submissions will not be considered. 

There will be a mandatory site meeting for all interested parties on July 4th, 2011 at the Material Recovery Facility.
