FRIDAY, JUNE 1: Whether or not you are a fan of the Royal family, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Summer Sundays event taking place at Victoria Park this weekend have be plenty of fun for everyone.
There will be dancers from In Motion School of Dance , as well as music from Working Title band, solo singer Olivia Hamilton, The Saltus Jazz Band and the Bermuda Regiment Fanfare Trumpeters.
The Mistress of Ceremonies will be Power Girl Patrina Paynter.
Danilee Trott, event project manager for the City of Hamilton which is organizing the event, said: “We are taking our regular Summer Sundays event and we have dedicated it to celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee along with the rest of the world that will be celebrating over the weekend.
“We are really excited to have the new mayor (Graeme Outerbridge) open up the event followed by the Bermuda Regiment Fanfare Trumpeters followed by a spectacular line-up of local entertainment that will continue until 8 in the evening.
“We have done a little extra this month in decorating the bandstand in celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee.”
The free event is at Victoria Park this Sunday from 3pm to 8pm.
