WEDNESDAY, FEB. 29: Students from the Bermuda High School for Girls have raised $1,237 for charity by dressing down for the day.

The fundraiser came after three members of the Ocean Support Foundation gave talks to the students.

They spoke about the dangers Lionfish pose to the oceans.

Founder of OSF, Graham Maddocks, said: “It is wonderful to see our young people really grasp the danger that this species poses and for them to collect funds for us.”

Jennifer Burland Adams, Director of Advancement at BHS, said: “Having members of OSF come in to speak with the students was a great way for them to learn about something happening in the waters that we all enjoy.”
