The Bermuda Environmental Alliance held a Bollywood style gala at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Tuesday evening.

Sponsors and friends of the alliance were present to celebrate the charity founded by former ZBM news reader Sangita Iyer.

Guests were shown previews of the charity’s new environmental mini-series aired on Discovery Channel Canada. The films are: Return of the Cahow, Bermuda’s Water Cachment, Biodiesel from Sargasso Sea Algae and Bermuda’s Mystical Caves.

There was musical entertainment and Bollywood dance routines from the Sabor Dance School as well as raffle prizes.

The charity’s mission is to “create awareness of environmental issues through education and global exchange of information by using visual and social media.”
