FRIDAY, AUGUST 17: Bermudian Davika Hill has been chosen as the face of a modelling agency in St Lucia.

Ms Hill, pictured, entered a contest on a whim and was shocked to be named the face of Fab-Fetale.

The 23-year-old explained how she got started: “I was discovered by Fab-Fetale when I entered an online model search competition for Caribbean based magazine Kurama.

“It was a Facebook contest where females in the Caribbean were asked to post a picture of themselves in an outfit that represented your personal style and whoever got the most ‘likes’ won.

“I didn’t win the contest however I was excited to see a comment by the agency on my picture.  I was even more excited when Michelle Auguste, the agency’s Founder, messaged me to talk about her agency.

“Long story short, I ended up signing to Fab-Fetale Island Exclusive Model Management and so far it’s been an amazing ride.”

Ms Hill was enrolled in the school in June and participated in a 12-week model elite course.

Ms Auguste said: “Davika has performed extremely well in her exams so far and the surprise reward for the model trainee who topped the class, was receiving the title that Davika now holds.  Along with this title comes specific duties and responsibilities that require discipline, professionalism and passion, all the traits that Davika possesses.”

Asked how it feels to be the face of the company, Ms Hill said she is excited: “I didn’t even realize that they were looking for a face when I first signed but I am both honoured and humbled to have been selected for the position.

Miss Hill will fly to St Lucia next month for her graduation dinner and award ceremony.
