WEDNESDAY, APR. 18: Just about everyone loves a little bit of Luther Vandross and what better way to celebrate his birthday than with a tribute concert.

The legendary entertainer would have celebrated his birthday on Friday and promoter Janson Cross will be hosting a concert to celebrate Vandross’s life on Sunday.

The show will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and will feature American Idol winner Ruben Studdard alongside local talent.

Cross said: “The reason I am doing this show is that I know Bermudians love Luther Vandross and since it would have been his birthday on Friday, April 20th, I thought it would be a good idea.

“For this show, I am bringing down Ruben Studdard, American Idol season two winner.

“He is very excited to have been invited to do this show and is looking forward to putting on an outstanding show.

“We also have Jamie Zuill, obert Edwards, Gita Blakeney Saltus and Lloyd Holder ready to tear the house down.”

Bootsie will host the event.

The show will start at 7pm and tickets are available at www.bdatix.bm, All Wrapped Up in Washington Mall and Fabulous Fashions in Heron Bay Plaza.

Regular tickets are $85 and VIP are $150.
