Bermuda's favourite ambassador will celebrate his 91st birthday tomorrow.

But it does not mean he is taking the day off his normal morning duties to celebrate at home.

He'll be back at the 'Johnny Barnes' roundabout to welcome commuters into Hamilton on their way to work.

Johnny told the Sun: "I will be there as normal, just as I am every week day morning.

"I'm not really doing anything special to mark my 91st birthday - it's just a usual Monday.

"I hope to be welcoming people into Hamilton until the Good Lord says that's enough.

"But if people want to wish me Happy Birthday tomorrow then that would be very nice."

Asked what the secret was to a long and happy life Johnny said: "Put your hands in God's hands.

"And don't forget 'I love you'."
