TUESDAY, JUNE 26: If your child’s dream is to perform on a stage, why not send him or her to Bermuda’s only performing arts summer camp.
CKC Cares Charity/Spotlight Performing Arts Camp is offering the island’s only all-inclusive performing arts camp for young people aged eight to 17-years-old.
The camp will be held from July 2 to August 17 at the Berkeley Cultural Centre's Amphitheatre.
Workshops will be held for aspiring rappers, six types of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop and dancehall, drama, voice, spoken word/poetry, modelling and more.
Experienced instructors will host the workshops.
Cha’Von Clarke, CEO of CKC Cares Charity and Spotlight Talent Agency said: “It's a great way for young people to build performance experience, public speaking and communication skills.”
Ms Clarke said there will be weekly swimming, activities and a Friday talent showcase for parents and the community.
Parents have the option to register for the weeks their child will participate or the whole summer for $150 per week.
And on Saturday, the charity is offering a one-day registration discount of $350 this summer to registrations booked that day.
The weekly rate would be reduced from $150 to $100 per week, per child.
Registrations may be made online at www.ckccorporation.com or in person at the CKC Cares Charity booth at the Centre on Philanthropy Community Day Fair at Botanical Gardens from 9am to 1pm.
“We are the only camp with great activities to keep teens having clean positive fun over the summer.
“Please spread the word and help to keep our young people safe, positive and out of trouble this summer.
“Give your child or teen the opportunity to shine this summer at Spotlight Performing Arts Camp.”
