FRIDAY, JUNE 29: Daria Symonds has a busy life for a nine-year-old.
Her desire in life is to become a professional dancer and she is about to travel to New York City with her dance instructor Keya Perinchief to train with the Rod Rodgers Summer Dance Intensive.
This trip was designed to broaden her spectrum in dance as well as to focus on the culturally enriching events.
In the past week, Daria has performed in the Jackson School of Performing Arts dance recital, she has danced a duet with her teacher Ms Perinchief at Adventureland Nursery and Pre-School’s annual showcase, and is in Miami competing with her gymnastics team by the end of the week.
Daria attends Bermuda High School and will also study with the American Ballet Theatre (Dance Bermuda 2012) for a second summer in August.
Her parents, Tiannia and Darwin, support their “little shining star”.
Ms Perinchief said: “From this trip and exposure I know Daria’s dancing and abilities to shine, sparkle and dazzle a crowd will be one to witness.”
