Our wedding day, July 30, 2011, was the most memorable day of our entire lives. Everyone we loved attended and the atmosphere was funky and fun.
One person in particular, my best friend from Tacoma, Washington, unfortunately had not planned on coming because of some terrible news she had received in the beginning of the year.
Andrea was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had learned that she would have to have a hysterectomy the month before our wedding.
As the date came closer and even when guests from overseas began to arrive, I wondered if the wedding would be complete without one of my best friends in the whole world.
My husband-to-be promised me that he had a surprise coming that would make me feel better.
The Monday before the wedding I was at work and had planned on going to lunch with another friend visiting from overseas.
When my friend arrived she asked me if I could show her what I had in our stock room.
As we were talking in the stock room I heard a loud voice yell, “I need to speak to a manger! This store never has clothes in my size!”
I recognized the voice but couldn’t believe it until I saw it for my own eyes. I exited the stock room and there she was, my best friend Andrea, in Bermuda!
We all cried and I knew for sure our wedding was going to be the happiest day of my life.
