Whatever the elements may throw at you, TreeCon Ltd has it covered.
Whether it is searing summer sun, salt air, sand, water, wind or hurricanes, the company can provide strong but stylish barriers for your home.
TreeCon Ltd was founded in the mid-1980s and specializes in custom installation windows, shutters and doors for our island climate.
It stocks shutters in a choice of side-hung, bi-fold or top-hung styles.
Quality
It also has hurricane-rated aluminium doors and windows, and PremierVue (PGT Industries) vinyl impact windows.
Despite the downturn in the construction industry, company owner David Rowntree said business was faring well.
“Things are still perking along,” he said.
“The industry is nowhere near where it was, could be or should be.
“Everyone is having to cut back. But business is good despite the economy the way it is.”
Staffing levels have been reduced to 15 Bermudian employees, which Mr Rowntree said was “the lowest level it’s been for quite a number of years”.
The working week has also been cut back so stave off any further job losses.
“Last winter we reduced our working hours from 40 to 35 hours a week and the staff were very cooperative in that regard, because this way everyone can keep their jobs,” said Mr Rowntree.
But he said business is ticking over.
“We have a sales staff of two to three people and they are out every day measuring up,” he said.
“From our perspective, it’s because we offer good quality products and a good service.
“We are also a ‘one-stop shop’ which covers sales, installation and service.
“We are aggressive in our advertising but people know us for the quality of our products.
“In this economy, the consumer is more price-conscious than ever.
“We can offer the full gambit, from the least expensive to the most expensive products, and we back them up with full warranties.”
Mr Rowntree runs TreeCon Ltd with his wife Wendy and son Keith.
“We’ve grown from just supplying windows to the whole gambit for residential and commercial construction.
“We do shutters, doors and windows, both in aluminium and vinyl. And for commercial properties, we supply and install curtain walls, shop front entrance doors and steel roller doors for loading bays.
“We also supply and install plastic lumber fencing, railing and pool decking.”
