THURSDAY, DEC. 20: New Premier Craig Cannonier last night unveiled two of his Senate team as his new Cabinet was sworn in.

But that leaves three spots to fill in the Upper House – with rising stars Jeff Baron, who slashed the Pembroke South East majority in the seat held by the PLP’s Rolfe Commissiong and Nick Kempe, who lost to David Burt in Pembroke West Central, both hotly tipped.

That leaves one place – likely to be filled by Alexis Swan, who lost in Warwick South East to Lawrence Scott, the son of former Premier and area MP Alex Scott, or Nadia Hamza, who was beaten in the PLP stronghold of Sandys North Central by incumbent Dennis Lister.

The three new Senators would join Michael Fahy, the new Minister for Home Affairs and Education Minister Nalton Brangman in the island’s reviewing chamber.
