THURSDAY, APRIL 5: A man has admitted receiving hundreds of dollars worth of stolen jewellery.

Dejuan Somner pleaded guilty to one charge of receiving stolen goods this morning at Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard that the jewellery was stolen during a burglary at a property in Lynwood Drive in Hamilton parish on March 16.

Although Somner denied breaking into the house, he admitted later handling the stolen goods.

The court heard that the homeowners who were burgled recovered their jewellery.

Somner of Hamilton Parish was released on bail and will re-appear at Magistrates’ Court on April 12.
