In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Corporation of Hamilton by section 7(2A) and (2B) of the Road Traffic Act 1947, the following Order is hereby made:-

FLATTS VILLAGE TRAFFIC SPEED CHANGE
FOR
NORTH SHORE ROAD
The Ministry of Works and Engineering wishes to inform motorists that there will be a traffic speed reduction in effect in Flatts Village. The speed reduction is to prevent excessive speeding along North Shore Road from the Flatts Gift Shop to the St. James Court apartment complex.
Motorists will be required to travel at 25 kilometers per hour within Flatts Village at all times.
To ensure that 25 kilometers per hour speed limit is achieved along this section of North Shore Road, the Ministry will install rumble strips as traffic calming devices on this section of road.
Motorists are required to follow the instruction signage along this section of roadway and to avoid using excessive speed.
The installation of these rumble strips will commence on Tuesday, 25th, May, 2010 and is scheduled for completion on Wednesday, 26th May, 2010. Speed reduction will be effective on the date of completion. 
This Ministry wishes to encourage motorists to use the roadway safely and requests that any motorists traveling through Flatts Village adhere to the reduced speed.

2. Marathon Derby:
Somerset Road, Bridge Hill, Middle Road, Burnt House Hill, Harbour Road, The Lane, Crow Lane, into the City of Hamilton, leaving the City of Hamilton on Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, to Dutton Avenue.
3. Junior Classic Run:
Front Street, Queen Street, Church Street, King Street, Victoria Street, Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, Dutton Avenue to Bernard Park..
4. Parade Route:
Starting in the City of Hamilton, leaving the City of Hamilton on, Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly, Dutton Avenue, to Barnard Park.
TRAFFIC CONTROL: All traffic including pedal cyclists (but excluding the official vehicles preceding the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Cycle Race, the In Line Skaters Race and Marathon Derby Race together with buses and emergency vehicles following the runners) will be diverted off the Marathon Route between the hours of  8:45 am and 12:00 noon. 
Traffic flowing in the opposite direction to the runners will have free passage except on Burnt House Hill, Harbour Road and The Lane between Stowe Hill and Crow Lane Roundabout.
ROADS CLOSED:
Burnt House Hill, Between Middle Road in Warwick and North Roundabout in 
Harbour Road and Paget will be closed to all traffic from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
The Lane
Stowe Hill Between South Road and Harbour Road will be closed to all traffic except to allow access to residents from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
Pitt’s Bay Road Between Woodbourne Avenue and Bermudiana Road will be closed to all traffic from 8:00 am until re-opened by Police.
Canal Road Between South Road and Harbour Road will be closed to traffic except to allow access to residents from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
Woodlands Road Between St. John’s Road and Serpentine Road will be closed to all traffic between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Cedar Avenue From City Boundary to the St John’s Road junction will be closed to all traffic from 1:30 pm until the parade passes.
Marsh Folly Road Between St John’s Road and Dutton Avenue will be closed to all traffic from 1:30 pm until the parade passes. 
Dutton Avenue Between North Street and Marsh Folly Road will be closed to all traffic from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Palmetto Road & Between Bishop Spencer Road and Dutton Avenue will be 
Marsh Folly Road closed to westbound traffic only between 10:30 am and 6:30 pm or until re-opened by Police.
Black Watch Pass Will be closed to south bound traffic only from 10:30 am until re-opened by Police. 
Crow Lane North Roundabout (The Lane) to City of Hamilton boundary will be closed to westbound traffic only from 1:45 pm until re-opened by Police.
