Legendary figures in cricket and American football will attend this year’s PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Port Royal Golf Course, the PGA of America announced today.
NFL Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas of the Buffalo Bills is expected in Bermuda to see the year-ending PGA event featuring three of this year’s Majors champions – Australian Adam Scott, Englishman Justin Rose and American Jason Dufner – and reigning Grand Slam champion Irishman Padraig Harrington.
Meantime, West Indies cricket sensation Brian Lara will return to Port Royal where he is an honorary member. He has played the course many times – twice as part of the Grand Slam Pro-Am in 2010 and 2012. Mr. Lara will play the Pro-Am again this year.
Fans looking to attend the Pro-Am or the two-day championship can purchase tickets during a Grand Slam tickets blitz Wednesday, October 9, from 11am until 2pm at the Washington Mall in Hamilton. The 2013 PGA Grand Slam of Golf takes place October 14-16 and will be televised around the world by Turner Sports.
Tickets sold at the Washington Mall are eligible for the PGA of America’s two-for-one promotion. Any fan buying a $20 ticket for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday will receive a second ticket free. The weeklong pass for all three days is $50 and is also part of the two-for-one promotion.
