Father’s Day is the day we celebrate everything Dad.

Whether it’s going to church to honour him or treating him to a round of golf, Sunday is his special day.

There are countless things you can do to make your Dad feel special this weekend.

We have rounded up events going on and offer suggestions of fun things to do with your Dad.

Brunch

Maybe your father’s idea of celebrating the day is to hit up a brunch buffet.

There are various options for Father’s Day including The Reefs for $55, Blu Bar and Grill $48, Windows on the Sound $45 and the Waterlot Inn $54 (Fairmont Southampton Resort), Fairmont Hamilton Princess $42 and Fourways Inn $49.75 (excluding gratuities).

But maybe your Dad is more of an ‘all you can eat meat’ kind of guy. If that sounds like him, Victoria Grill has its Brazilian Churrasco for $39.95.

Sumptuous swords of grilled meats and sides are available for you to eat all night.

Children eat for $2 per year of age. Call 296-5050 to make a reservation.

Maybe your dad is a golf nut and enjoys spending a relaxing day on the course. So why not buy him a round?

Rosewood Tucker’s Point costs $250 per round, Port Royal Golf Club $180 before 3pm and $110 after 3pm, and Ocean View Golf Club costs $89.

But maybe you don’t have the money for brunch, dinner or a round of golf.

There are many other ways to show Dad how much you care. You can buy a simple card or make one yourself.

Take a photo of you and your dad, maybe from when you were younger and start there.

There are plenty of free options for cards online that you can find with a simple Google search.

If you like the idea of brunch but not the price tag, why not make Dad a traditional Bermudian breakfast such as codfish and potatoes.

Or how about simple eggs and toast — easy and inexpensive to make.

Another option is to have a potluck brunch with other family members where everyone brings a dish.

Priority

You Dad’s special day could also be spent watching cricket at one of the many sports clubs around the island.

Or why not go for a nice walk, bike ride or a picnic at the beach?

All of these options are free and will give your dad the best gift — your quality time.

Whatever you decide to do with Dad, make sure you tell him you love him and spend the day making him the priority.
