The Department of Energy invites certified installers of solar hot water systems to apply to participate in an upcoming homeowner rebate programme for these systems.
To be eligible for any rebates offered, applicants for this rebate programme will be required use certified installers from a list provided by the Department of Energy.
Certification to install solar hot water systems is required from an educational institution or a solar thermal manufacturer/dealer which offers recognised installer certification programmes.
Installer application forms are available from the Department of Energy directly, or may be downloaded from www.energy.gov.bm. Completed application forms and original certification documents together with copies should be submitted to the Department of Energy by Friday 03 September 2010. 1 These Regulations may be cited as the International Sanctions (Iran) (United Nations Measures) Regulations 2010.

2 The Iran (United Nations Measures) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2007 made by the Privy Council as a United Kingdom Order in Council on 25 July 2007, shall have the force of law, in Bermuda.

The Minister of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Nursing Act 1997 and after consultation with the Bermuda Nursing Council, makes the following Rules:
Citation
1 These Rules may be cited as the Nursing Rules 2010.
Definitions
2 For the purposes of the Nursing Act 1997 and these Rules— 
“advanced practice nurse” means a general nurse who—
(a) has acquired an expert knowledge of nursing, at a minimum at the level of a graduate degree in nursing;
(b) has acquired the skill to make complex decisions in the nursing field;
(c) has the clinical competencies to make diagnoses of patients and prescribe treatment for patients, in collaboration with a medical practitioner; and
(d) is registered as an advanced practice nurse;
“general nurse” means a person who—
(a) is qualified in nursing by virtue of having graduated from an approved or accredited nursing education program that is recognized by the Council; and
(b) is licensed or registered as a registered nurse (“RN”) in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction that is recognized by the Council;
“nurse specialist” means a registered general nurse who—
(a) has a graduate degree in nursing and practises in a particular branch of nursing such as clinical nursing, psychiatric nursing, nursing administration, teaching or consultancy; and
(b) is registered as a specialist nurse in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction that is recognized by the Council;
“nursing associate” means a person who—
(a) is qualified to assist a nurse in caring for persons by virtue of having obtained a certificate in nursing care from an institution that is recognized by the Council; and
(b) is registered as a nursing associate in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction
that is recognized by the Council.
Register
3 (1) The register shall set out the particulars referred to in paragraph (2) and shall be divided in parts as follows—
(a) Part A, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as nurse specialists;
(b) Part B, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as general nurses;
(c) Part C, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as advanced practice nurses;
(d) Part D, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as nursing associates.
(2) The register shall set out—
(a) the full name and address of the registered person;
(b) the person’s qualifications;
(c) the branch or branches of nursing practice in relation to which every person is registered and any specialty; and
(d) the date of the person’s registration.
Applications
4 (4) An application under section 5 of the Act for a registration certificate or under section 6 of the Act for renewal of a registration certificate shall be accompanied by—
(a) the originals, or copies certified by a notary public, of any professional qualifications mentioned in the application;
(b) copies of any other documents relating to professional qualifications, experience and character which are to be relied on for the purposes of the application.
(2) Other applications under the Act shall be accompanied by the originals, or copies certified by a notary public, of any documents that are to be relied on for the purposes of the application.
Number of practice hours
5 For the purposes of section 6(3)(b) of the Act, the number of hours prescribed are not less than 100 hours of practice per year as a general nurse, nurse specialist, advanced practice nurse or nursing associate, as the case may be.
Continuing education requirements
6 For the purposes of section 6A of the Act, the number of hours of continuing professional education that must be completed in every period of two calendar years is 24 hours.
Revocation
7 The Nursing Rules 2003 are revoked.

The Minister of Justice, in exercise of the power conferred by section 2(1) of the International Sanctions Act 2003, makes the following Regulations:
Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the International Sanctions (Iran) (United Nations Measures) Regulations 2010.
Application
2 The Iran (United Nations Measures) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2007 made by the Privy Council as a United Kingdom Order in Council on 25 July 2007, shall have the force of law, in Bermuda.

The Minister of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Nursing Act 1997 and after consultation with the Bermuda Nursing Council, makes the following Rules:
Citation
1 These Rules may be cited as the Nursing Rules 2010.
Definitions
2 For the purposes of the Nursing Act 1997 and these Rules— 
“advanced practice nurse” means a general nurse who—
(a) has acquired an expert knowledge of nursing, at a minimum at the level of a graduate degree in nursing;
(b) has acquired the skill to make complex decisions in the nursing field;
(c) has the clinical competencies to make diagnoses of patients and prescribe treatment for patients, in collaboration with a medical practitioner; and
(d) is registered as an advanced practice nurse;
“general nurse” means a person who—
(a) is qualified in nursing by virtue of having graduated from an approved or accredited nursing education program that is recognized by the Council; and
(b) is licensed or registered as a registered nurse (“RN”) in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction that is recognized by the Council;
“nurse specialist” means a registered general nurse who—
(a) has a graduate degree in nursing and practises in a particular branch of nursing such as clinical nursing, psychiatric nursing, nursing administration, teaching or consultancy; and
(b) is registered as a specialist nurse in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction that is recognized by the Council;
“nursing associate” means a person who—
(a) is qualified to assist a nurse in caring for persons by virtue of having obtained a certificate in nursing care from an institution that is recognized by the Council; and
(b) is registered as a nursing associate in Bermuda or in another jurisdiction
that is recognized by the Council.
Register
3 (1) The register shall set out the particulars referred to in paragraph (2) and shall be divided in parts as follows—
(a) Part A, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as nurse specialists;
(b) Part B, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as general nurses;
(c) Part C, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as advanced practice nurses;
(d) Part D, which shall contain a list of the names of persons who are registered as nursing associates.
(2) The register shall set out—
(a) the full name and address of the registered person;
(b) the person’s qualifications;
(c) the branch or branches of nursing practice in relation to which every person is registered and any specialty; and
(d) the date of the person’s registration.
Applications
4 (4) An application under section 5 of the Act for a registration certificate or under section 6 of the Act for renewal of a registration certificate shall be accompanied by—
(a) the originals, or copies certified by a notary public, of any professional qualifications mentioned in the application;
(b) copies of any other documents relating to professional qualifications, experience and character which are to be relied on for the purposes of the application.
(2) Other applications under the Act shall be accompanied by the originals, or copies certified by a notary public, of any documents that are to be relied on for the purposes of the application.
Number of practice hours
5 For the purposes of section 6(3)(b) of the Act, the number of hours prescribed are not less than 100 hours of practice per year as a general nurse, nurse specialist, advanced practice nurse or nursing associate, as the case may be.
Continuing education requirements
6 For the purposes of section 6A of the Act, the number of hours of continuing professional education that must be completed in every period of two calendar years is 24 hours.
Revocation
7 The Nursing Rules 2003 are revoked.
