FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25: Three Rosewood Tucker’s Point employees were the first to take part in a cross exposure training programme.
The programme provides select employees with training opportunities to experience and learn from other properties within the Rosewood collection. Bermudians Laura Bolton, Andre Cannonier and Antonio Moniz were the first employees at Rosewood Tucker’s Point to participate.
Ms. Bolton spent three weeks at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, the iconic hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, shadowing the guest relations manager so she could assume the role at Rosewood Tucker’s Point.
Golf course superintendents, Mr. Cannonier and Mr. Moniz, were given the opportunity to work alongside their counterparts at CordeValle, a Rosewood Resort, a secluded luxury golf resort in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains in northern California, to prepare and maintain the golf course for the Frys.com Open, a PGA Tour event held in October.
Brian Young, managing director of Rosewood Tucker’s Point, said:“Through exposure to our properties around the world, we are fortunate to be able to provide unique, hands-on employee training that will strengthen our abilities to serve our guests here in Bermuda.”
Ms. Bolton said: “It’s a really exciting time at the property right now. The Rosewood name along with the Rosewood style of guest service brings a new level of luxury accommodation to the island.”
Mr. Cannonier said: “Not only is the learning process so much more effective when it’s hands-on but also I was able to bring back the knowledge I gained and share it with the rest of the team as well as apply it to the work we do here.”
