Clarien Bank Limited (“Clarien”), has today announced the appointment of Henry Komansky as Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for developing, reviewing and monitoring the firm’s Compliance activities to ensure adherence to internal compliance policies, regulatory requirements, Bermuda and International Law as they have an impact on Clarien Bank Limited and its subsidiaries in fulfilling its regulatory responsibilities. He will report to Chief Legal Officer Mark Pettingill.
Prior to his appointment to Clarien Bank Limited, Mr. Komansky served as Head of Analysis at the Bermuda Financial Intelligence Agency, as well as an associate attorney at Cox Hallett Wilkinson in Bermuda, where he served as compliance officer and specialized in corporate law and litigation. He also served as an FBI Special Agent in Texas from 2002 to 2005, assigned to the multi-agency Joint Terrorism Task Force where he was cited for exceptional service during the PENTBOMB 9/11 investigation in Washington.

Mr. Komansky earned a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law in 1998, a masters in environmental law from Vermont Law School in 1995, and a bachelor of arts and politics from Ursinus College in 1992.
